Chettinadu Mansion

Chettinadu Mansion has been in existence since 1902 in Kanadukathan, Tamil Nadu, a Heritage Village declared by the Government of India. Spread over 80,000 square feet, the authentic Heritage Palace opens nine rooms to guests, offering privacy and the experience of life in a bygone era. The owners live in the Mansion and share its history, while careful housekeeping provides comfort. The rooms are maintained in the style of the 1900s, with spacious interiors, clean and dry washrooms stocked with toiletries, balconies in every room in the main block, tea and coffee makers, intercom and Wi-Fi. Guests can swim, play water polo, take a bullock-cart ride or bicycle trip around the village, visit the antique museum and small library, and join demonstrations of Chettinad cuisine. Sightseeing options include Athangudi tile-making, cotton and fabric weaving, local markets, Pillayarpatti temple and Thirumayam fort.
