About this stay
The Grange Hotel – Ooty is more than a heritage hotel; it is a keeper of stories in a house that has stood since 1860. Formerly known as Glanton Hall, the house was a music hall run by Wallace Misquith, and its history includes music, plays, debates and business empires. The Garden Cottage rooms centre around a rose garden, with Athangudi tiles, carved glass lamps and paintings, while other rooms feature bay windows, high ceilings, four-poster beds and wooden floors. The hotel is about 400 m from Charring Cross in central Ooty and 2 km from the railway station and bus stand. Guests can dine at the restaurant, take guided tours around Ooty, and enjoy supported bicycle rides through the surrounding countryside.
